Hello and welcome!
I write about health to inform, connect, and empower. I write with heart and research backed evidence - blending empathy, clinical insight and clear messaging for health-forward brands and publications.
I am always open to new and interesting health writing opportunities.
Let's connect!
About Me
I’ve worked in healthcare since my teens, in my dad's holistic health center. First, driven by a desire to understand my own health and healing journey. I was also pulled to support others create, sustain and even "simply" contemplate their health and healing. Over the past 20 years, I’ve blended modern conventional clinical work with devotion to my traditional & holistic studies in North American Indigenous & Chinese herbalism, integrative nutrition, QiGong, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), and biofeedback training in Heartmath. I approach health as something multifaceted, individual, and ever-evolving; not a one-size-fits-all situation.
As a psychiatric nurse, I specialize in mental and behavioral health across the age spectrum. I also designed and led a nursing program that served three public charter schools in Boston - developing systems, writing policy, and providing health support, education and training to both students and staff.
Beyond the clinical world, I’ve been a sales and marketing executive in the natural foods industry and the founder of two small businesses: a green cleaning and holistic cooking company, and Eatkins; a handmade napkin line (tagline: for eating, not for napping!) that was featured in the New York Times design section. I am an entrepreneur at heart.
I’ve been writing since I was single digits - and there was no stopping me once I learned it was a tool for expressing myself. I also write for fun, to keep stories alive, and because I am compelled to partake in the age old sacred channeling of imagination, experience, and giving voice.

When I’m not writing or caring for others, you might find me being a CLO (Chief Leisureologist). I am a gardener and student of Permaculture. I do anything involving nature or moving my body. I enjoy doing research and am ever learning about health and healing. I have been known to volunteer as an emergency bicycle medic for the Red Cross. And, I am ever following my surgeon's prescription of finding ways to laugh throughout all of my own healing and health journey - there are few better antidotes to pain, dis-ease, and what ails - (truly, laughter really is the best medicine).
